storm raven (hells yeah, y'all love it)

infernus pistols
fast tanks
baal
descent of angels
dreadnought stuff

this is whats super NOT tight

over priced, over rated heroes
hella expensive!
captain and HQ options suck BALLS
lots of initially cool seeming, then look warm units
termis have to pay for shields
red thirst is granted only on a 1

Your angels are super legit as balls.
You forgot assault squad as TROOPS!!
And the chance to get like 6 Dreads.
And Mephiston.
i have to pay for shields. my base termis are cheaper but to get the same shiz as you i pay out the ass.
Blood Angels Termis: Lightning claws 40pts a model. Thunder/Storm 45pts!
Space Marines: Lightning Claws 40pts. Thunder/Storm 40!!
Space Wolves: Wolf Claws 48. Thunder/Storm 63!

up to 11 dreads, for the record. Smile

3 Furioso's as Elites
3 Dreads as Heavy Support
5 Death Company Dreadnoughts as Troops (a 25-man Death Company would be required to field that many, taking your Troops count up to 6)

So honestly, you aren't going to see 11 Dreads on the table, but the codex does allow for that many.

After reading the vanilla codex, wolves codex and angels codex I really like the vehicles for angels, the characters (and their options) of the wolves and the play style of vanilla. Fluff wise I think I like vanilla the most (because you can tailor the fluff/characters to your style).

However the Baal and Stormraven are the two coolest vehicles in the game.

I mentioned earlier today at the store, it's amazing to me that GW hasn't released a model for the Stormraven. Those things would sell like crazy to anyone who plays Blood Angels. I could easily see myself buying two of them, and I only recently picked up my first Land Raider... *the* Space Marine vehicle of choice.

True to both. Also I'm surprised there is no Thunderwolf Cavalry either! I'd definitely run a full squad if there was. And just wolves.

also you could easily run 11 dreads with no upgrades to little upgrades in a 2000 point army. up it to 2500 and they could be decked out.

In order to run 11 dreadnoughts, you'd need 25 death company. With absolutely no upgrades, that's 500 points. With no upgrades, the least expensive HQ option is still 100 points, and realistically, you'd want to go with 130 points for the Reclusiarch (25-man DC with re-rolls? *drool*).

That leaves you 1370 points. Base price on dreadnoughts is 105, and base price on Furioso's and Death Company dreads is 125. *does math*

Yeah, Marshall is right. 2,000 makes it possible, but in order to run anything fun (Magna-grapple, Librarian), or in order to run some different weapon configurations, you'd need a slightly larger battle. You could switch out the weapon arms a little bit, but you don't have any room for other options if you do. My first priority would probably be Extra Armour on most of the dreads. 2,500 might also let you add a Razorback or Land Raider, or stick all the dreadnoughts in drop pods. *evil grin*

Yeah, you guys win on making an all dread list. All I got for 2000 pts was a master of the forge on a bike with a conversion beamer, 3 Ironclad dreads with a melta, flamer and assault launchers, 3 regular Dreads with extra armor, 2 10 men Tac squads in rhinos, and a small scout squad. Oh, and all the dreads are in drop pods with the deathwind missile launcher.

Honestly, that list sounds absolutely brutal.

The BA list uses up all our Troops slots, so our only option for winning is Annihilation, and that's not an easy thing to accomplish.
