You know what????!!

The reason many colonists moved over to the british colonies (in fact the reason pretty much ALL OF THEM MOVED) was for freedom of religion. The king wasnt allowing the puritans to practice their religion. they got sick of it. they moved. they made the BEST place on earth. America now kicks everyone @$$'s cept for with money. we suck at that now apparently. so now, i get to the point of all this

CHAOS IS ONLY FIGHITNG FOR FREEDOM OF RELIGION! inquisition is the true evil ones! Stiffling all our attempts at making peace with mankind. killing our innocent, highly trained warriors, sorcerers, terrorists, pirates, and weapons of mass destruction engineers! how rude!
OH so a few ALLEGED summoned daemons MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE (ALLEGEDLY!) killed a few families, maybe burned a city. maybe they even swallowed an insignificant, unimportant world incidentally. not like anyone liked that place anyway right? what about exterminatis? huh? huh? killed a lot of people that way i would say! yeah!...thats right. So next time you consider yelling "HERETIC!" or "NO please! i have a wife and kids! Im to young to be sacrificed!!!" just remember that we are all the same on the inside, once you look past the daemonic mutations, tentacles, scales, wings, claws, horns, and sometimes firey breath. and remember that no one is perfect, and we are all striving to better ourselves, wether we try to be a better person, or selfishly try to immortalize ourselves, climbing on our own brother's backs and slaughtering a few thousand people on our way to the top. You guys can go worship your so call "emperor" and we will worship out pagan idols and petty gods.

haha my favorite part is "weapon of mass destruction engineer" haha i picture a Khorne Bezerker somehow with a tie on and shiz, leaving his suburban home with a briefcase, getting a kiss from his wife and going to a honest days work.

Aww, and here I thought dark eldar were cool with chaos (until the battle is over, the mercs get paid and the either side says "well, thanks for the help, see you in hell!" And then betrays the other) and I still haven't decided wether or not to make my guys "evil" I kinda want to lean towards, fighting for a good cause (in their own mind) but doing it in a VERY wrong way. Weel see, for now ill stick to hiring and being hired as mercs fighting for unknown causes. Oh and btw, that "but there are worse ways to die" thing. Stephans dark eldar are definately fighting for the top of that list. Ill kiill you and leave it at that (or if your lucky convert or drive you insane, or both) with stephan's guys, I would rather eat a bolter shell than be caught alive..

basically i would sum up 40K like this: catholic church/ nazi party vs ALIENS AND SATAN!

the thing is we say the nazi's, the spanish inquisition, the roman etc all did terrible things. he hate them because they did unjustified, awful things cause of prejudice, racism, and paranoia.

but, what if they had been justified? what if the nazi's exterminated mutants that raped and killed instead of jews etc.? what if the inquisition burned "heretics" that really were planning on destroying mankind? what if the romans executed executed thier vicious laws because as soon as they got lax, the people ACTUALLY BECAME POSSESSED?

see, their bad and evil cause they were wrong. people were not witches, traitors, possessed, etc. In 40K they are.

so the ends justifies the means more than we think. still there are innocents killed by zealots, but thats part of the fluff and story, of course.

the ancient ones (space lizard men) created the orks and eldar to fight the necrons.

they are fungus that grows into birthing sacs. in your codex you'll see what i mean.

I would have to say this is actually VERY VERY surcumstantial (spellcheck) thee fluff in codex says that they are evil and MOST people play them as evil, doesn't mean they have to be, such as how eranikus is NOT EVIL IN ANY WAY!

Knight commander (idk if that is a real rank lol but it sounds cool) murray jumped from the ship as it flew away, guns blazing on its way to transport more marines back in for support. He heard over the radio "Murray! Lead squads 2, 3, and 5 with the escorting of civilians to our transport ships." Murray had the coordinates to the compound the civilians were sheltered in on his heads up display. "Alright men, let's move out! We have a deamons to destroy!" A roar of approved rose as they charged on. The city was a warzone, battletanks pounded, quaking the ground and roars of machinery and the daemonic were heard. The compund came in view ahead with some imperial guard holding the line infront, las fire flaring rapidly. A warpgate ripped open and outstepped horrid pink monsters, that immediately began to fling fire from their hands, dropping the guardsman who didn't duck fast enough. The marines switced to their sidearms and fired while charging in. The horrors turned to return a few shots before melee was engages, the daemons claws and teeth were no match for their powerarmor and were quickly delt with. "Are the civilians safe?" Murray asked the commandont. "Shaken, and very scared but we managed to hole most of them in here." Murray was angered by the loss of even a few good humans. "Very well, let's load up in the chimeras and get the hell out of here!" The commandont was about to reply when a smash followed by a mechanical scream was heard, they turned to see a massive, 6 legged machine with a daemon ripped from the top. "Quickly! Load up and head out for reinforcements!" The imperial guard ran inside and ou the back, chimeras were charginf full speed away. Murray looked around at the marines with him. "We make our stand here brothers, this world is our's. Avenge every soul lost here today!" Shouts of aprooval were heard, and they turned to face the daemons. Behind the daemons drove up rhinos, and even a landraider filled with heretics, and the battle was on...

Murray opened his eyes briefly, and immediately turned his head and threw up. He wiped his mout and looked up, his vision swam into focus and saw several people standing over him. "Fabius, this one is awake, and he made a mess..." a large mane strode in, with huge spidery mechanical limbs over his back with sarynges, blades and other devices. "Well what are you waiting for? An invitation? Clean it up!!" He strode over to the marines, who was strapped to the table, with many tubes, and IV's coming out of him. "The transformation is coming along nicely, but much to slow, give him another dose of the solution, then put him back out." Before losing conciousness again, murray looked about to see many other marines on tables like his, and some in large chambers filled with liquid, being fed oxegen through tubes, then everything faded out.
Murray was in a cell this time. It was very dark and not much could be seen. There was a puddle of water on the ground. He looked into it, but it was much to dark to see any details, he could only make out an unfamiliar form from the distortion of rippling water. A crash was heard and a few quick gunshots, and a body fell to the floor. Cell doors clanked open and murray strained to see, a bunch of marines were ripping open all the cages, followed by a large man striding forwar. He stopped at murrays cell. "Come on soldier, were getting you out of here!"
They were running through the compound, many marines were visiously mutated from the experiments, but their minds were yet unaltered. Shouts were heard behind them and they hurried faster, 5 men were still unaccounted for, and they would leave no one to suffer the fate that awaited them here. They turned the last corner to find their spot. A massive metal wall, this was it. They pryed open the massive doors, the enemy was closing in. What awaited them inside was the 5 men. Unrecognizable save the morphed armour with their signature bright blue colors, all asleep on tables, with gas masks on. Murray was speachless. In a rage he ripped off the tubes and equipment. "Murray, I'm sorry, but surely these men are lost to us. We must leave now!" "NO! We were all changed, surely the marines we know are inside here, we have to carry them!" Bolterfire was heard behind them. Chaos troops were on them, unloading in the back of them. The marines piled into the room and took cover around the walls "what do we do, were unarmed save a few bolters!" Murray barked back, wait here and ambush them, its our only chance. The footsteps were closer. Murray was about to jump around the corner and attack, but something in the corner of his eye stopped him. The marines on the tables sat up. They had claws, wings, horns, spines, fangs, and every horrid mutation you could think of. One looked directly at murray and growled, he turned, saw the chaos coming, and immediatedly jumped towards them, unnaturally fast even for a sapce marine. Using their array of weapons they slashed every one down, crushing, cutting, biting, smashing, clawing them to shreds. The marines stood in shock as the beasts turned. The marines slowly backed away as the beasts advanced. The suddenly stopped right before murray, and bowed. Murray grinned from ear to ear. They were alive, for the most part, and they were gonna get out of here.
Murray stood before the grey knight captain, his chapter all behind him in the massive chapel. The grey knight spoke "you have all made the ultimate sacfrifice to protect and serve our empire, giving your lives for those in need. You are truely noble heros. I commend you for your bravery. The emperor does not turn his back on those who serve him, and you, my friends have paid with your own bodies, gave everything you have. Although your newfound power comes from chaos, the imperium will make use of your talents. To protect and serve. To slay the heretic, and to preserve mankind." Murray stood before his men. "My brothers, we must never forget those we lost to the monster fabius, we must never forgive, and never forget. Our newfound curse is a reminder of exactly why chaos is the single greatest threat to mankind, to the universe. We will never rest until it it completely erradicated. We are the cursed, the redeemed. We shall be known from now on as, The Punishers, and we will show no mercy!

So, the punishers are now used as a radical new type of daemon host, using dark gifts for a righteous purpose. See how with some creativity chaos can be good?
I can't believe I wrote all that to proove a point. Well now I have some sick fluff to allow me to fight along with all those imperium players in they shop, I can just play as the puunishers.woot!
