Ah scott you're so nice. :-)
I must admit I'm missing my square base game. 8th ed just came out and I never see a player.

Law of chaos
One god will always hate you and therefore dick with your game. play with all one god and your rolls improve, play with no specific god at all and you'll walk all over the table eating everthing in sight. lol

space wolves can just sit around in transports doing the most minor things and let nids do all the heavy lifting.

Scott's opponent will always save their 5+ inv/ cover save.
Anyones 5+ save > santiago's 2+ armor save.

Re: a few things i learned...
I have to disagree. I've dealt wounds to Santiago, but never had him fail an armour save against me. I'll give credit to my bad memory, but that still means no more than one, MAYBE two. Certainly never enough to remove all five wounds.
On the other hand, I watched Scott roll some pretty obnoxious rolls today. Six out of eight dice came up ones, and was it four out of six on the other roll? Part of the game is finding ways to minimize your reliance on luck. Things like twin-linking, template weapons, blast weapons (especially on low BS models), re-rolls, high armor values, and high AP are all worth their weight in gold. The next best thing is the number of dice you roll in the first place. The more dice you roll, the closer you will come to hitting the statistical average.
And it's important to remember, everyone has bad days with dice rolling. It even happens to Fatty... just not when he's playing 40k.

Re: a few things i learned...
chris is talking about himself- and possibly fatty. course fatty could make a save even if he didn't have one to make.
chris made 6 5+ saves in a row, and in the same turn i failed not only 22 3+ rolls to hit, but also 17 5+ to wound. all i needed was to cause 4 wounds, there would have been no saves...
nothing doing
in regards to zack- you only need to fail one! one dice! and it will always screw you. even if you had a two plus save....

I remember watching Fatty fail a save, but I think he was just trying to make us feel better.
